You have questions. We have answers. Let's start from the beginning.
The fascia is a web of connective tissue that runs through the entire body, surrounding every muscle, organ, and bone. When the body experiences stress, that tissue tightens and restricts, creating patterns of tension that shape everything from how we latch, to how we breathe, to how we sleep.
Craniosacral therapy works by following the body's own rhythm to find where that tension is being held. Through the lightest touch, about the weight of a nickel, we encourage the fascia to soften and release.
The benefits of craniosacral therapy don't come from forcing the body to change. They come from creating enough safety that the body no longer feels like it needs to brace itself. When that happens, posture opens, breath deepens, and the body remembers what it was always capable of.
What changes when the body has freedom to move, breathe, and grow?
After scheduling your appointment, you'll fill out an intake form so we can understand what you've been noticing. If you're still on the fence, you're welcome to text us first where we'll talk through what's going on and whether this feels like the right fit.
Sessions are unhurried and always follow your lead. Using light touch (about the weight of a nickel) we find and release tension in the cranium, jaw, diaphragm, and fascia. Babies settle deeply, children find calm through play, and mothers feel a release they didn't know they needed. Nothing is ever forced. We move at the pace that feels right for your body.
What families notice when the body has room to breathe
Feeding feels like a fight. Your baby arches, clicks, and falls asleep at the breast before they've had enough. You dread every feed and you're not sure how much longer you can keep going. After bodywork, their body softens. The latch deepens. Feeding becomes the quiet, connected moment you always imagined it would be.
Sleep has fallen apart and you can feel the tension in their little body even when they're still. The emotions are big and their body doesn't know how to settle. After bodywork, the nights get quieter. The meltdowns soften. And your child starts to feel at home in their own body again.
Your body has been through something. Whether it was pregnancy, birth, or the months of feeding and holding and pouring yourself out—you feel it. Tight, disconnected, not quite yourself. After bodywork, the tension that's been living in your hips, your ribs, your jaw begins to release. And you start to feel like you again.
